Stephanie Wade
Born and brought up in Woodbridge, Suffolk by my grandparents I left school hoping to train as a Lawyer, this was my passion and I was lucky enouh to train for a short time in this subject. However, due to financial family constraints I was unable to complete my studies. However, I then found accounting and trained as an accountant. It turned out I enjoyed this just as much as Law and threw myself into this new world. I progressed in my corporate career and was appointed to the role of Finance Director & Controller in the private corporate sector which has lasted for over 25 years. Working with Multinational and UK group companies I report directly to The Board of Directors of Multinational’s advising accounting results, financial analysis, strategy development and business decisions for companies with a Turnover in excess of £92 million, employing some 600 employees.
During my corporate years it was essential that I consistently strived to improve operational and administrational efficiency and profitability. I used technlogy and business analysis to recognise areas needing attention to enable maximised growth and profits. Business strategy plans then being created from this information. There is no doubt in my mind that a company cannot grow or achieve its maximum potential if this information is not available.
I operate a hands-on approach which ensures the exceptional degree of attention to detail required to produce accurate financial information. In addition to my business strategy role I also offered a full accounting role which consisted of:
Running and managing a large team of accountants to assist and prepare, co-ordinate and maintain accounts of the group and associated consolidated companies both UK and international – in addition to which -Trial Balance preparation - Audit reconciliation and preparation - production of monthly management accounts - profit and loss reports – Balance sheet analysis - Business analysis – variance analysis – Ratio Analysis - cash flow & working capital analysis – Budgeting – Forecasting and Projection analysis – Investment decisions – asset management.
Much of this knowledge is now used for the benefits of my clients in my accounting practice. I assist fellow business owners in the pursuit of their dreams, running a successful and profitable business.
